About us and these terms
This website, https://londonfiredoorspecialist.co.uk, is run by Fire Door Specialist ("we", "us" or "our"). We check, repair and fit fire doors across Greater London. We work on site at our customers' buildings and do not have an office open to visitors.
These terms apply to your use of our website. Work we carry out for you is covered by the written quote you accept and the terms that come with it (see "Quotes and bookings" below).

Using our website
You are welcome to use our website to learn about fire doors and our services, and to contact us. When you use it, you agree not to:
- use it in any way that breaks the law or harms anyone
- send false, misleading or offensive information through our forms
- try to get into parts of the website, systems or data you are not allowed to access
- upload or send viruses or other harmful code
- copy our content in bulk with automated tools, or put heavy strain on our systems
- send unwanted advertising or spam through our forms
We may block access or remove messages if we believe these rules have been broken. We may also change, pause or remove parts of the website at any time without notice. We do not promise that it will always be available or free from errors.
Prices shown on our website
Prices on our website, including price tables and example budgets, are guide prices only. They help you plan, but they are not an offer and you cannot accept them as a contract. Unless we say otherwise, they do not include VAT.
The price you pay is the one in your written quote. It depends on the building, the doors, access and what we find on site. We may update our guide prices at any time.
Quotes and bookings
Sending our quote form or contact form is a request for information. It does not create a contract and does not commit you or us to anything.
A contract only starts when you accept a written quote from us. That quote sets out the work, the price, the timing and the terms that apply to the job. If anything in the quote differs from these terms of use, the quote takes priority for that work.
If you are a consumer (booking work for your own home, not for a business), you have legal rights that these terms do not affect. This can include the right to cancel within 14 days when you agree a contract away from business premises or at a distance. If you ask us to start work within that time and then cancel, you may have to pay for work already done. For details of your rights, contact Citizens Advice.
Our content and branding
The text, graphics, diagrams, sample reports, logos and design of our website belong to us or to people who have allowed us to use them. They are protected by copyright and other laws.
You may view our website, print or save a copy of content for your own use or for use within your organisation, and share links to it. You must not copy, publish, sell or change our content for any other purpose, or use our name or logo, without our written permission.
Links to other websites
Our website links to other websites, such as government guidance, for your information. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or how they use your data.
You may link to our website, as long as you do it fairly and legally and do not suggest any connection or approval from us that does not exist.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Our website is free to use. Apart from the cases above:
- if you are a business, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, our website, including loss of profit, business or opportunity
- if you are a consumer, we are only responsible for losses that were foreseeable when you used our website. We are not responsible for business losses, and we only supply our website for domestic and private use
We take reasonable care to keep our website free from viruses, but we cannot promise it. Please use your own virus protection.
Our responsibility for work we carry out is set out in your written quote and the terms that come with it.
Your personal data
We only use personal data as described in our privacy policy, which also explains the cookies our website uses.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The terms in place when you use our website are the ones that apply, so please check them now and then.
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest will still apply. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
